Abstract
This study aims to determine the role of wives who work in the informal sector in meeting the socio-economic needs of households in Bone Lipu Village, Kulisusu District, North Buton Regency, to determine the factors that encourage the role of wives who work in the informal sector, Bone Lipu Village, Kulisusu District, North Buton Regency. and to find out the increase in the fulfillment of household socio-economic needs after the wife works in the informal sector, Bone Lipu Village, Kulisusu District, North Buton Regency. The type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative research with data collection techniques, namely interviews, observation and documentation. Meanwhile, the informants in this study were wives who worked in the informal sector of Bone Lipu Village, Kulisusu District, North Buton Regency. The results of this study indicate that: The role of the wife who works in the informal sector in an effort to fulfill the socio-economic needs of the household in Bone Lipu Village, Kulisusu District, North Buton Regency is motivated by several reasons, namely helping husbands work such as farmers and fishermen, working for other people such as household assistants, nannies and laundry workers, opening their own businesses such as trading. Factors that encourage wives to work in the informal sector, Bone Lipu Village, Kulisusu District, North Buton Regency, include self-motivation to meet household socio-economic needs, for socio-economic needs that do not depend on husbands, the ability to divide time between working in the informal sector and taking care of the house. stairs, and a still strong age to work. The increase in the fulfillment of household socio-economic needs after the wife works in the informal sector, Bone Lipu Village, Kulisusu District, North Buton Regency has been fulfilled. This can be seen from the fulfillment of material needs, namely the need for clothing, food and housing, and the fulfillment of social needs, namely the fulfillment of the needs for education, health and transportation.
