Focus and Scope

NeoRespublica: Jurnal Ilmu Pemerintahan is a peer-reviewed journal published by the Department of Government Science, Faculty of Social and Political Science, Universitas Halu Oleo. Published twice a year in June and December. This Journal have been accredited SINTA 4 based on SK Direktur Jenderal Pendidikan Tinggi, Riset, dan Teknologi. Number 105/E/KPT/2022 date on 7 April 2022. From Volume 1 Number 2 (2020) until Volume 6 Number 1 (2025).

NeoRespublica: Jurnal Ilmu Pemerintahan publishes various concepts of thinking or ideas and research on the following topics 1) State and Governance, 2) Policy and public services, 3) Government innovation, 4) Local Government and Public Policy, 5) Political and Government.

Peer Review Process

  1. Each manuscript submitted by the author arrived at the editorial desk by double-blind peer review
  2. The editor will examine whether the manuscript has been suitable with writing style format and journal template
  3. The editor will make sure a manuscript covering one of journal scope of topics
  4. The editors may be guided by the policies of the journal's editorial board and constrained by such legal requirements as shall be not contained copyright infringement and plagiarism
  5. The manuscript that has received editorial acknowledgment will be examined by at least two reviewers.
  6. Reviewers will identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors. Any statement that an observation, derivation, or argument had been previously reported should be accompanied by the relevant citation.
  7. The argumentation of the author should be clearly defined, objectively based on methods, and used the scientific process of thinking.  
  8. The editors of the NeoRespublica journals are responsible for deciding which one of the articles submitted to the journal should be published. The editors may confer with reviewers in making this decision.
  9. We do hope for great cooperation among authors and reviewers to fulfill the review process based on time (2 weeks - 8 weeks). The changing due date of authors and reviewers will be discussed by editors to decide the time of article publication      

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

Publication Ethics

Neorespublica: Jurnal Ilmu Pemerintahan, with registered number ISSN 2716-0777 (Online) is a peer-reviewed journal. NeoRespublica: Jurnal Ilmu Pemerintahan published two (2) issues in a year. This statement clarifies ethical behavior of all parties involved in the act of publishing an article in this journal, including the author, the chief editor, the Editorial Board, the peer-reviewer­­­­­ and the publisher (Department of Government Sciences, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Halu Oleo. This statement is based on COPE’s Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.

Duties of Editors

The editor of the NeoRespublica: Jurnal Ilmu Pemerintahan is responsible for deciding which of the articles submitted to the journal should be published. The validation of the work in question and its importance to researchers and readers must always drive such decisions. The editors may be guided by the policies of the journal's editorial board and constrained by such legal requirements as shall then be in force regarding libel, copyright infringement and plagiarism. The editors may confer with other editors or reviewers in making this decision.

1. Fair play

An editor at any time evaluates manuscripts for their intellectual content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.

2. Confidentiality

The editor and any editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher, as appropriate.

3. Disclosure and conflicts of interest

Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used in an editor's own research without the express written consent of the author.


Duties of Reviewers

1. Contribution to Editorial Decisions

Peer review assists the editor in making editorial decisions and through the editorial communications with the author may also assist the author in improving the paper.

2. Promptness

Any selected referee who feels unqualified to review the research reported in a manuscript or knows that its prompt review will be impossible should notify the editor and excuse himself from the review process.

3. Confidentiality

Any manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. They must not be shown to or discussed with others except as authorized by the editor.

4. Standards of Objectivity

Reviews should be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. Referees should express their views clearly with supporting arguments.

5. Acknowledgment of Sources

Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors. Any statement that an observation, derivation, or argument had been previously reported should be accompanied by the relevant citation. A reviewer should also call to the editor's attention any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under consideration and any other published paper of which they have personal knowledge.

6. Disclosure and Conflict of Interest

Privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage. Reviewers should not consider manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships or connections with any of the authors, companies, or institutions connected to the papers.


Duties of Authors

1. Reporting standards

Authors of reports of original research should present an accurate account of the work performed as well as an objective discussion of its significance. Underlying data should be represented accurately in the paper. A paper should contain sufficient detail and references to permit others to replicate the work. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable.

2. Originality and Plagiarism

The authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works, and if the authors have used the work and/or words of others that this has been appropriately cited or quoted.

3. Multiple, Redundant or Concurrent Publication

An author should not, in general, publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in more than one journal or primary publication. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.

4. Acknowledgment of Sources

Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given. Authors should cite publications that have been influential in determining the nature of the reported work.

5. Authorship of the Paper

Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study. All those who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. Where there are others who have participated in certain substantive aspects of the research project, they should be acknowledged or listed as contributors. The corresponding author should ensure that all appropriate co-authors and no inappropriate co-authors are included on the paper and that all co-authors have seen and approved the final version of the paper and have agreed to its submission for publication.

6. Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest

All authors should disclose in their manuscript any financial or another substantive conflict of interest that might be construed to influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the project should be disclosed.

7. Fundamental errors in published works

When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her own published work, it is the author’s obligation to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper.

 

 

 

 

Copyright Notice

The author who wishes to publish articles in this journal agree with the following conditions :

  1. The author retains the copyright and simultaneously provides the journal the first publishing rights of the manuscript under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an initial job writing and publishing statement in this journal. 
  2. The author can include in separate additional contractual arrangements for the rich version of non-exclusive distribution of journal publications (eg posting it to the institutional repository or publishing it in a book), with recognition of publishing initially in this journal.
  3. The author is permitted and encouraged to post their work online (for example: in the institutional repository or on their website) before and during the submission process because it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and more powerful citations of published works.   4. Department of Government Science, Faculty of Social and Political Science, Universitas Halu Oleo holds the right to reproduce and distribute the article and author is not allowed to publish the same article published in this journal.

Author Fees

This journal charges the following author fees :

Free Submission Charge: 0.00 (IDR).  

Article Publication: 750.000 (IDR). 

We will send an invoice once your article accepted by the Editorial Board. The payment must be made within the period stated in the invoice. The article will not be published until the payment is made.

NeoRespublica : Jurnal Ilmu Pemerintahan was first published as an online journal on January 24, 2020 with the ISSN Online number (2716-0777) from PDII-LIPI with Decree No. 0005.27160777/JI.3.1/SK.ISSN/2020.01 - January 24, 2020 (starting edition Vol 1, No 2, June 2020).

  • NeoRespublica : Jurnal Ilmu Pemerintahan  Accredited Science and Technology Index (SINTA 4) on April 7, 2022 according to the Decree of the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology Number: 105/E/KPT/2022 dated April 7 2022. from Volume 1 Number 2 (2020) to Volume 6 Number 1 (2025).
  • The last few months and the current condition of the Halu Oleo University OJS SERVER is in a state of repair, resulting in frequent OFF SERVER (down).
  • IMPORTANT INFO: URL CHANGE. OJS2 TO OJS3 MIGRATION. as a result of the disruption of the OJS2 server, we manage the migration journal to OJS3 so that in the future we will need to adjust the system work on OJS3 (new domain). We expect understanding from service users.
