Author Guidelines

Jurnal Progres Ekonomi Pembangunan (JPEP) is a scientific journal that published manuscripts in economics i.e. development planning, regional financial economic, monetary and banking, resource economics, islamic economics, and other fields related to economic development policies. Articles must be the results of recently conducted research (not more than 5 years). They must neither be previously nor simultaneously submitted in any journal nor published elsewhere except in a preliminary form. Review papers should be critical analysis and integration of recent advances in an important area of research which can stimulate further research, provide a new approach or new knowledge. Manuscripts submitted should have citation at least one articles on subject of the article published in this journal .

Guiding Principles

An acceptable manuscript will meet the following general criteria: it reports a worthwhile contribution to economics, methodology is well and clearly explained with sufficient details. Results and discussion are supported by sufficient scope data, manuscripts is concise, well written, and understandable.  Conclusion summarized the results and showed specific findings.

Manuscript Format

Manuscript should be uploaded to Jurnal Progres Ekonomi Pembangunan (JPEP) open journal system (OJS) at http://ojs.uho.ac.id/index.php/JPEP/index  and composed in  Jurnal Progres Ekonomi Pembangunan (JPEP) standard format. The manuscripts were typed at one sided A4 paper, single column, 1.5 space line, font 11 point Times New Roman and with continuous line numbers. Margins on all four sides are 2 cm.

Manuscript Title

Title clearly describes the manuscript content, concise, informative and preferably not more than 20 words. The title should avoid abbreviations and formula. The manuscripts should provide a running title, a short form of manuscript title that is not more than 5 words or phrases. The Title should write in Indonesia and English language

 

Authors

Manuscript has main author and co-authors with full name of both author and co-authors (no abbreviation).  The author should indicate the affiliation institute with clear mail address and email.

 

Abstract

The abstract comes after title and author names in the first page of manuscript. Abstract must be integrated and independent which is consisted of introduction and purpose, methods, results, and conclusion. References and non-standard or uncommon abbreviations should be avoided. Abstract should write in Indonesia and English language, contained not more than 200 words.

”Abstract is written after the title page in the text. Abstract contains a brief background, objectives, methods, results, conclusions. Abstracts must be written in Indonesian and English with a single paragraph without headers. References and abbreviations must be avoided. Writing abbreviations must be described in the first mention. Abstracts must be written using 150 to 200 words”.

Keywords

 “Keywords are written in Indonesian and English language. Keywords must avoid using words or terms in the title. This keyword will be used for indexing purposes. Keywords cannot be more than 5 words or phrases in alphabetical order and separated by commas”.

Introduction

The background is stated briefly, avoid referring the literature in detail, and explain how to solve the problem (or research objectives). The introduction must be written using 750 to 1000 words.

Literature And Hypothesis Study

The literature study covers the basic theory and results of previous research, which is used in building a research conceptual framework to answer the proposed problem (research hypothesis, if any). The literature review must be written using 750 to 1000 words.

Research Methods

The description of the research method must write down the time and place of research in the first part. Describe the data sources used, present the population and samples (for primary data), and the analytical methods used clearly and concisely. Writing formulas / equations must be completed with clear information. The research method must be written using 400 to 600 words.

Results and Discussion

The results and discussion are written in separate sections. Presented continuously from the main results to supporting results and completed with discussion at the end. The discussion of the results of the study is justified by the support of previous research data, theories and references. The results and discussion must be written using 2500 to 3000 words.

Conclusions And Suggestions

Conclusions are presented by referring to the essence of the discussion, without using statistical symbols. Suggestions refer to the findings of the research results and the limitations of research. The conclusions and suggestions are written using 50 to 100 words each.

 

Acknowledgement

Indicate the source(s) of funds and institutions or individuals who helped in the study.

Reference

The author uses a reference tool with Mendeley, the APA (American Psychological Association) Model. All citations must be written in references arranged from A to Z. Articles must use the latest references (last 10 years) and consist of 80% of journals. Most use primary references in the past five years. Unpublished data and personal communication should not be referred to as literature citations. The reference number consists of a minimum of 20 references.

 

 

Tables and Figures

Tables and Images must be editable. The table title must be written above Table using Times New Roman 11, single spaces and after 6pt. The contents of the table must be written using Times New Roman 10 single spaces and information Tables placed at the bottom of the Table use Times New Roman 10, single spacing with before 4pt. Image Caption is placed below Image using Times New Roman 10, single space with before 4pt. The title of the image is placed after the caption of the Image uses 10 single-space Times New Roman. Tables and Figures are placed in accordance with the sub-section of each article's text.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
